The Visitor visa (subclass 600) is used by foreign nationals to travel to Australia for tourism or business visitor purposes. The visa may be valid for different periods, including up to three (3), six (6) or twelve (12) months.
Generally speaking, Australian Visitor Visas require that you satisfy the following requirements:
- That you have a genuine intention to stay temporarily in Australia
- You have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in the country
- That you have no health or character issues
To qualify for a Visitor Visa application, you must hold an eligible passport. Applicants who are not eligible to apply for a Visitor Visa online are required to submit a paper application through their nearest Australia immigration office.
